Prescription Drugs Are Not the Only Solution to Thick Blood

Posted on August 16, 2009

Have you been diagnosed with thick blood and are doing some research? You should know that neither Heparin nor Warfarin are the only answers to the thick blood problem. Nutrition, Nutritional Supplements and Exercise are all great avenues to try before going on an expensive prescription – that ultimately has side effects.

Thick blood is not so uncommon any more. The Journal of Clinical Health reported recently that thick blood actually increases your likelihood of having a heart attack. Strangely, that's not news really and it's not the only thing thick blood can contribute to. And it's not only solved by Heparin.

If blood is the train that carries oxygen and nutrients to the cells and then is also the train that carries carbon dioxide and cellular waste away – doesn't it seem logical that if your blood is too thick these processes are not going to work properly?

Whether you're sitting in a chair or hiking Mt. Everest, your cells need the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in your feed to work properly. And after having done what they're supposed to do, they need to be able to rid themselves of their cellular waste to continue operating.

Three things can help with blood sludge (besides Warfarin or Heparin prescriptions):

1. Exercise. When you force the heart to work harder the blood pumps throughout your body faster, bring nutrients and removing waste.
2. Nutrition. If you start eating healthy, your blood can be full of good stuff to deliver to the cells. Why waste a red blood cell's space with sugar when it could be transporting protein?
3. Nutritional Supplements. An antioxidant supplement will not only prevent free radicals and repair free radical damage, but will help clean the blood and rid the body of waste.

One such nutritional supplement is OPC Factor. It has all the antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, herbs and enzymes you need to really clean your blood and resolve your thick blood problem. I'd invite you to visit their website and watch the videos on their science page: http://www.mycellessentials.com/opc
