Muscle Milk - One of the Best Quality Protein Powder in the Market

Posted on January 29, 2010

If you are someone involved in body building or are interested in a fit and healthy body then you might have heard about Muscle milk. What is exactly Muscle milk? By the name many would think that it is some kind of milk obtained from the muscles. But that is not the case. It is actually a protein powder specially formulated for those interested in weight lifting or athletics. Muscle milk protein powder contains a lot of different vitamins and minerals and is a pure protein source. The best thing about it is that it is free from any extra fat and calories. One of the best products to buy for body building is a good quality protein powder. Some feel that taking protein powders is meant only for the body builders or the athletes, but that is not true. It is also taken by the diabetics as a protein powder shake taken as substitutes for certain meals helps in maintaining the blood sugar levels properly.

How to burn fat without moving your feet with kettlebell workouts

Posted on December 21, 2009

There are much more effective ways to burn fat than running. In fact going for a 20 - 30 minute jog is the last thing that I would prescribe for fat loss. Not only do these jogs magnify injuries in the untrained individual but also reduce your potential for future fat loss. Kettlebell workouts offer a better way to burn fat fast and you don't even need to move your feet.

Running for extended periods of time in most individuals usually causes some kind of injury. The problem with running lies in the constant repetition and the excessive loads going through the kinetic chain from the foot upwards. Research shows that 4-7 times the body weight of an individual travels through the body with every single foot strike. Now add on top of this 1500 average foot strikes per mile and you get an idea of the repetitive load that the body deals with on a 30 minute run. Kettlebell workouts involve no foot strikes and limited repetition.

Free Ab Workout Routine

Posted on November 22, 2009

Before you begin looking for an ab workout routine it is important that you have a nutrition plan in place. Remember, diet is the most important part in weight loss. You should also be doing regular cardio exercises (at least 5 days a week, 20-30 minutes at a time). Only when you have taken some time to plan these aspects of your ab training can you begin to think about a workout routine.

In most cases it is enough to do exercises targeting the abdominal muscles themselves only 2 to 3 times a week (and this may already be much). Muscles need time to recover and without giving them time to rest they will not grow.

Is The Gym A Detriment To Muscle Building or Weight Loss?

Posted on April 11, 2009

Are you a weight lifter or weight loss candidate who has found attending the gym on a regular basis difficult, and assumed that you were merely unmotivated to exercise? Well, maybe your gym is the problem who needs immediate termination!

Most who pursue muscle gain or fat loss feel that joining a local gym is a prerequisite, and so, following a rather calorie friendly December, millions crowd local gyms, signing up for a 3+ year membership, believing that they’ve just made the initial leap towards a muscle building or fat loss transformation. But if we analyze the number of people who continue attending the gym after their contractual commitment, we find that the once motivated fitness enthusiast fueled with zeal for substantial change suddenly decides not to walk through the gym’s front door as February approaches.

Should You Avoid ‘Cardio’?

Posted on April 7, 2009

Columbus Boot Camp and Personal Trainer explains the detriments of aerobic exercise for permanent weight and fat loss.

The topic I’m going to talk about today is cardiovascular exercise. If you’ve ever tried to lose weight in the past then you know this is a must. Or so you were meant to believe.

‘Cardio’ exercise as you probably know is where you get on a treadmill or some other type of machine or ride a bike or go for jog and stay at a certain pace and/or incrementally increase the pace throughout the 1/2 to 1 hour that you usually do it for. While doing this you are trying to stay in the ‘fat burning zone’. Usually takes about 10-15 minutes of this type of training to get ‘into the zone’.
