Australian Open – Nadal, Federer, Roddick And Verdasco Reach Semis

Posted on April 8, 2009

With a few twist and turns, the draw for of 7-6 (3), 6-4, 6-2, 2-1. It was a bitter way to end the defense of his title for Djokovic who clearly suffered under the extremely hot weather. Compounding Djokovic’s woes was the fact that he played in a night match previously against Marco Baghdatis and the game finished at 2:20 am. He clearly had difficulty moving by the fourth set before he threw in the towel and retired. Roddick was a good sport though, as he held his emotions under check and didn’t seem to gloat once Djokovic made his decision. To Roddick’s credit, he seems to be playing better tennis than before, his progress to the quarterfinals was overshadowed by the hype surrounding Nadal and Federer. WIth his powerful serves and better all around game, I guess Djokovic didn’t really had a chance against Roddick to fight back.

Carrom Foosball Tables add Pizzaz to the Game

Cross promoting brands is a great way for smaller companies to market their products using a popular brand name, and this cooperation benefits both companies. We see many items that are cross branded with Harley Davidson and NASCAR, but recently I came across an item that has cross promoted with both of these companies to market an item that is fun for the entire family.

Cross marketing in business today is very popular, one company uses another brands success to market their own items. This is normally a win-win situation for both companies. One of the largest brands that is marketed this way is Harley Davidson. Though a Harley is THE American motorcycle, you can find many other Harley Davidson items. This ranges from the obvious motorcycle accessories and clothing, to knives and trucks. But the latest thing that I ran across with Harley branding is a foosball table by Carrom Foosball tables.

  • The Secrets To Running An Effective Sprint Out Pass In Youth Football

    Posted on January 11, 2009

Tips on The Sprint Out Pass in Youth Football
The sprint out pass or running pass is a very effective method of throwing the ball in youth football.

Once you have established the sweep with your thrower, the defensive backs often abandon their pass responsibilities on anything that looks like a sweep or are vulnerable to pass patterns that look like blocks to begin with. Many cornerbacks like to come up and make plays on sweeps, especially if you have established the play well, with your thrower running the ball. Some defensive schemes have the safeties or corners reading the recievers for run support based on the initial block or pass pattern read of the reciever. It is quite simple to get an initial “block” read by your recievers. In these cases the running passes or run/pass option are excellent football plays to call.

    Portsmouth Bites In Diop

Fulhams midfielder Papa Bouba Diop has been signed in by Portsmouth on a three year contract.

Harry Redknapp, Pompey’s manager has been closely following the moves of the huge midfielder for much of summers and has finally landed his catch.

The indecision that had characterized Gary O’Neil’s transfer to middlesborough had delayed the Diop deal almost to closure time on the deadline date for transfers. But once O’Neil had finally accepted his move to the riverside, the way opened up in the last minute for Diop to join Portsmouth.

With over 70 premier League appearances on his back, the Senegal international foot ball player had been playing for the cottages since joining them from French side Lens in 2004.
