Every year thousands of Americans suffer from obesity. While this is a problem that can be quite embarrassing for a person out in public, the other risks that are associated with it can shorten the life of a person. The problem of obesity is especially bad in children. We all love to go to the local burger place and grab a nice juicy hamburger; this is a habit that is hard to break. We live a quick and hectic lifestyle; this leads us to make choices that are not healthy for our well being.

We need to understand some basic facts about obesity. A lot of people tend to think that if you are overweight it then naturally you have a metabolic disorder. An example of metabolic disorder which could make you overweight is thyroid disorder. However there are some cases where you are obese and yet you do not have any metabolic disorder. The reason why you could be obese is simply because you are eating plenty of junk food or eating a lot of food which is more than your nutritional requirements.
There is however cases where you find a person with a great metabolism which burns a lot of body fat. This people have no problem with issues of being overweight, they can eat as much as they like and yet still maintain there weight. This characteristic however will not depend with your genes.
